That's bleak.

These people are literally murdering themselves out of their hatred for the rest of us. They hate those of us with an education who are moral and treat all Americans of any color or creed as equals. They are white “Christian” nationalist monsters.

I just lost a lot of my sympathy for them, not all but most. You cannot cry foul and complain about not having emergency systems when the government gave you the money to implement said systems and you turned it down due to “politics”

There is a group dynamic at play here. Rural communities are very insular and self-reaffirming. So people at meetings are constantly reminding each other that Jade Helm was real, etc. It creates a theatre that quickly pushes out disagreement through hostility, like a racist uncle at dinner.
