It's a weird world where the shittier a piece of software looks, the more I trust it. The fancy looking ones? They're going to steal my data or extort me in pricing or just not work. Crappy looking tools made by some random dude? This shit is going to get the job done and do nothing else.

Probably because the creator of the shitty software that get things done also have the same problem, got tired of it, and created the software in their spare time.
