Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."

It’s bizarre we haven’t seen more Dems stake their campaigns on this. People see data centers and actions of AI companies as incursions of invading armies into the sovereignty of their daily lives. Electeds who champion this will be greeted as saviors, local heroes. Odd to leave that on the table.

Ohio has the 5th most data centers in the country and Dem Senate candidate Sherrod Brown is all over this in his ads since his opponent, worthless POS Jon Hustead allowed all those data centers to come into Ohio. Someone tell Hassett construction workers don't buy houses near their job site
