You think we’re just going to move on from the secret police rounding up our neighbors?

I suspect 2028 Democrats will have as much fire on the belly to hold Stephen Miller accountable as 2020 Democrats had for holding him accountable.

There is no “for the good of the country” in this. Nixon got pardoned, not prosecuted “for the good of the country.” Gore turned the country over to Dubya “for the good of the country” who ignored warnings about terrorism.

100%. You don't get to do ethnic cleansing and then just stand off to the side and wait for it to be your turn again. We need a Department of Consequences for these ghouls.

I mean, sadly, I don’t see a Democratic Party taking the stance of a party that will do this or anything close to it. I see a repeat of Obama moving on from the war crimes of the Bush era. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m sure not getting up to vote for a party that doesn’t commit to this.

I agree but I almost feel the laughter should be pushed back against - none of us are kidding; this isn't a joke. I get that levity in politics, etc. but let's treat this illegality with the seriousness it merits.

Even a determined and aggressive attempt to do this, which I strongly support and demand, will run headlong into the same problems as last time, specifically, pardons a deeply hostile SCOTUS, and a ticking clock. It's going to require a civil society movement that refuses to take no for an answer.

Truth and Reconciliation is table stakes. I want a commitment for prosecutions. The Millers - both of them - need to end up in jail or bankrupt. Preferably both. There's a couple of South African billionaires who should also lose their citizenship.

stop saying “truth and reconciliation”. that was a remedy dealing stuff that was completely legal under apartheid. that’s not the issue here. it’s all illegal. we just need a a couple 1000 DoJ lawyers to get to work. simply use the rule of law to restore law and order.
