These kinds of tweets don’t get many likes on X these days. Their algorithm doesn’t seem to encourage or support positive vibes. Honestly, I don’t even know what they want anymore, it feels impossible to get more than two likes on anything there 🤷‍♀️

X is mostly read-only for me these days. I think they just weigh very heavily towards interaction - if you talk to a lot of people every day, a lot of people will see your tweets. But maybe not even that.

This has always been the most time-consuming part for me, and also the part I enjoyed the least. It's not that I don't like interacting with people, I actually do, but pushing myself to engage with more people to grow my account always felt like a chore 🥱

It's extremely time consuming. I need to build an audience it LinkedIn for my next business push and I'm going to outsource this. It's unfortunate that I need to do this, but I just can't stand the level of interaction this requires for long stretches of time.

Bluesky is so nice. IRL I don't really have an indie hacker friends and no one can really appreciate these small things I sometimes dare to tell them. But coming here, seeing people struggling with the same sh*t, celebrating the same little wins and encouraging each other is just so heartwarming.

Glad to hear that Gábor! The Twitter BIP community was a breath of fresh air for me 4 years ago when I got on this path but it got stale. Bluesky's got that fresh sense again and this time I'm the old timer dispensing advice (which is a form of nostalgia recycled for more that it's worth 😉).

Same. I’ve met so many decent folks here who are encouraging and genuinely supportive. I’ve even met a few coaches, which is so nice. It really feels like we’re in this together!
