This is really great and now I can't decide if I want to still separate off my Flashes account from my main Bluesky account. This addressed one of my biggest concerns 😂

Feature request if I may: when posting a series of photos in one post, is it possible to allow users to select which one will be displayed as the main one on the feed? Let’s say I want to post a story in 3 images, but the first one narratively is not the best as a feed thumbnail for the series.

Watch when they release Beta invites or you can sign up on the Google doc in their profile. When a beta slot opens up, you'll get an email and be invited to TestFlight for testing the Flashes app

I’m going on little sleep here so please bear with me. What’s the point of portfolio exactly? Is whatever’s in portfolio what is actually being shown to the public? So why would we post something we didn’t want to share at all? 😅

As a photographer with a large body of work it’s helpful to have a curated selection of your best images on hand. Images you post regularly might be worth posting but not necessarily your best stuff. I post things I’m working on or toying with that I wouldn’t include in a real portfolio.

While this is directed towards the developer specifically, I’ll respond to you by saying that’s great for you but I’m a photographer / designer / artist. Having ONE portfolio is nice if you’re just focusing on one thing. It would be nice to organize everything into “albums” to categorize my work.

glad you like it! nah, people are already confusing Threads and Bsky enough and it's their brand - so I'm going to stick with my design :) The app icon is set for now, but I'll offer more within the app so that you can choose which one suits you best.

Suggestion: When adding an image you can confirm as part of the submit process that its portfolio or not. You could even have an option to preset on and off. That only affects the images added by flashes

It would be cool if you can add a feature that shows how many people visited or viewed an account. Not who, just the number of views. So many people would love this!

So it only allowed me to select a limited number of images when using the portfolio (I think it was 9). I’m assuming this is just to showcase everyone your main/favorite stuff? Also, please consider more character count for the images, and for us to separate what we post here and on Flashes lol.

what media you want to be included in that tab by selecting "Manage Portfolio". Here you can select as many media items as you like (sorting will come later). After that go back and hit the "Preview" button to see a preview of how others see your profile. If you want you can now hide your media tab.

Waiiiit a second. So if I post a pic on bluesky it right now shows up in flashes, too. But with Portfolio I would be able to hide those pics if I don't want them in my public Portfolio? Please say yes, because that would be my dream feature and I wouldn't need a second account for flashes.

The addition of Portfolio makes all the difference. Unless I'm missing something, adding to Portfolio is necessary after every post. Is there a way to default all posts through Flashes to add to Portfolio automatically?
