the other one shows the actual merchant ID of the artist I commissioned. i don't want my money to just poof into a booking mistake. but neither PayPal nor my bank helped me. in fact my bank locked my debit card which is totally useless when the problem is what seems to be a system error.

I am going through the same problem. I called PP yesterday and the person was insistent they didn't double charge me, so I went to go dispute it with my bank. But when they wanted to shut down my whole account and start a new one, I changed my mind and went back to PP to ask for answers (1/2)

(2/2) I spoke to another representative today who said they are aware of the "system error" and are working to resolve it. But this has been a problem for at least 5 days now because my first problem was on the 22nd T.T
