There's no guarantee that tomorrow, or any other day after that, is going to be safer, or less scary. It is, however, a guarantee that you will be older.

And it's not about not reaching some arbitrary standard of gender presentation. It's about the raw observable fact that trans people glow the fuck up almost immediately after they start hormones. Just having the correct balance of hormones changes things for people *immensely*.
