I wonder if pilot fatigue had played a factor in the situation, kinda like the DHL 737-400 that tragically crashed during its approach into Vilnius because one of the pilots had accidentally turned off the hydraulic system B switches, thinking they were the engine anti-ice switches.

I highly doubt that. The anti-ice/hydraulic switch mistake is a very easy one to make given the location of the switches even when fully 100% rested, whereas there isn’t really any reason for a pilot’s hand to be below the thrust levers at any stage of flight never mind just after rotation

So they banned me ever flying because I'm colour blind, but they build planes with identical switches for totally different, critical functions? 🤔

Absolutely nobody was thinking of deliberate action 🤦‍♂️. Far too many incidents of deliberate action lately, this is very creepy.

Are these commands manual only, or can they be executed by the on-board computer or other equipment?
