The projections still fall short of the 60% reduction in emissions needed to prevent global temperatures from rising by more than 1.5 degrees Celsius above preindustrial levels.

Because we got plans today and tomorrow and over the week that do not include reducing our use of gasoline and everything else related to petrochemicals. I am going wake up early in the morning hearing the swell of engines increase as the day begins. Sure as the sun will rise. We just don't stop.

Bill Gates can literally get on the phone to his billionaire cohort and the President if he wanted to. But he's here talking to us about what we should do. They literally have all the money and power. I'm exhausted by these people.

I know 3 things for sure, 1) the climate and its effects will get worse 2) scientists' ingenuity will figure out it to make things better and 3) politicians will figure a way to screw up some of those solutions.

Here’s a new fucking approach, get rid of the MAGATs that want to “drill baby drill” and think that “contrails” are geo engineering the population into mind control!!!

1.5 degrees was always a wet dream. The northern hemisphere has already passed that. Remember, the climate today is reacting to the shit we put into the atmosphere 20 YEARS ago. We have to suffer another 20 years of rising temperatures even if we stopped all human produced carbon today.

Yes to changing the message from ‘it’s hot’ to the need for shared well-being. We are one with each other and the natural world, and the sooner we acknowledge and respond to that inherent oneness the sooner we can solve so many of our woes. Teach #SystemsThinking #ActOnClimate = #ActOnHumanity

This is Bill Gates trying to regain his credibility. This is Bill Gates trying to distract you from his Epstein world. This is Bill Gates with his billions trying to re-enter the science world. This IS Bill Gates. Sometimes the more things change the more they stay the same.

Start manufacturing things so they can be repaired instead of being thrown out and having new ones manufactured. Climate change is caused by industry and electric power generation. Reduce the amount of manufacturing and you reduce both. That is the only way to solve the problem.

I’ve a random idea , stop buying all that fn crap from China & India etc , make stuff in your own country or keep Trade with your neighbours preferable , it’s not fn rocket science ! 😮🦊🇬🇧

It's always been cleaner than vehicles, and that's what produces over 40% of all emissions. Now you go buy a bicycle or an electric car. No?

It's destroying our planet. In 50 years, if averages temperatures around the globe are 130...we are all dead. And numbers have already started to hit in that range. And we can do both - successful economy and end global warming. just need to plan and innovate.

Oh, there are wonderful solutions out there. The issue is how to get those solutions enacted through the powerful resistance of the fossil fuel industry. Personally, I think we should kidnap the board members, force them to eat edibles and listen to the Dead for hours... Mellow them out.

It is worth remembering that there is no "UN climate change model." Instead, the IPCC develops a "consensus forecast" based on input from all of the nearly 200 members. The IPCC includes many experts, but also includes 'experts' from petro-states that are literally supplied by oil companies.

The result is that the IPCC "forecast" too conservative. Every backward assessment over the past generation has shown that the IPCC consensus UNDERESTAMATED upcoming changes. That is still true. Most top models show that there is already enough carbon in the atmosphere to shoot well beyond 1.5 C.
