In the excellent Forever Ago by @thirdshift.studio & @annapurna.com, you can choose to name your dog with a variety of options 🐺 A pet name has to sound cute but also be meaningful to the player, so let's see how we localized these options into Spanish, German & French! 👇🧵 #gameloc

- 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 - ‘Hope’ does have corresponding names in several languages: ’𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲’ in French, ‘𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮’ in Spanish and '𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮' in Italian... Except for German where it's only a common noun, not a proper name! Therefore, our team chose the Spanish '𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮' to make it sound right ✨

- 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝗴𝘀 - 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 in German 👉 'Ast' means 'branch' but 'Aster' is also a purple flower, allowing to stay close to the original and to stick with the flower theme 🪻 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗮 in Spanish 👉 'Branch'. The literal translation would be "palo" but it being a masculine substantive, our team chose a feminine one!

- 𝗠𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗻 - Muffins exist all over Europe so it stayed as is pretty much everywhere... Except for Spanish: 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗮. 👉 The traditional Spanish muffin is called "magdalena". Magdalena is also a given name for women in Spain, usually shortened as Magda: a way too perfect coincidence to let it go!
