- ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ถ - In French, mari literally means 'husband'. Given the theme of the game (and the fact that the dog is a female), our team went for ๐—Ÿ๐—ถ๐—น๐˜†. ๐Ÿ‘‰ 'Lily' is a cute nickname in France and โ€˜Mariโ€™ comes from Mariposa, a type of lily, so it made sense! For this same reason, it's also L๐—ถ๐—น๐—ถ in German.

- ๐—›๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ - โ€˜Hopeโ€™ does have corresponding names in several languages: โ€™๐—˜๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒโ€™ in French, โ€˜๐—˜๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜‡๐—ฎโ€™ in Spanish and '๐—ฆ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜‡๐—ฎ' in Italian... Except for German where it's only a common noun, not a proper name! Therefore, our team chose the Spanish '๐—˜๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜‡๐—ฎ' to make it sound right โœจ

- ๐—ง๐˜„๐—ถ๐—ด๐˜€ - ๐—”๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ in German ๐Ÿ‘‰ 'Ast' means 'branch' but 'Aster' is also a purple flower, allowing to stay close to the original and to stick with the flower theme ๐Ÿชป ๐—ฅ๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฎ in Spanish ๐Ÿ‘‰ 'Branch'. The literal translation would be "palo" but it being a masculine substantive, our team chose a feminine one!

- ๐— ๐˜‚๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ป - Muffins exist all over Europe so it stayed as is pretty much everywhere... Except for Spanish: ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฑ๐—ฎ. ๐Ÿ‘‰ The traditional Spanish muffin is called "magdalena". Magdalena is also a given name for women in Spain, usually shortened as Magda: a way too perfect coincidence to let it go!
