This is concerning. Adult content should be allowed on Bluesky. So should be promoting adult content in a fair, non-spammy way. A link in the bio alone does not qualify as spam in my book. Mass following/cold DM/hijacking threads/etc. does qualify as spam, but that is a different story.

Just an FYI on the bluesky profile links thing: They started just blocking onlyfans and fansly, then expanded to cover a bunch of link shorteners explicitly because adult content is linked to through them. Fuck you @bsky.app . Proof: github.com/bluesky-soci...

Update ->

alex benzer@alexbenzer.com

some folks reported not being able to use certain adult-focused platforms (like onlyfans and fansly) — there was an internal miscommunication and these were accidentally added to the list of disallowed domains. this is now fixed! but you may need to refresh your app to get the update. 💙

We need to get over the American puritanism that tries to regulate the world to their values. we don't allow the Taliban to do this, so why do we allow the American Taliban such liberty?

I'm wondering, will it work if added via another client? Because adding via pdsls works (although I'm not sure if it will display), so theoretically, the check is happening on the social-app side. Maybe someone can test. One can add "Profile Links" via Tokimeki.
