BAFTA released a list of the 21 most influential video games of all time. On 4th place: Half-Life (1998) - Revolutionized storytelling in FPS games with seamless, immersive narrative delivery. And on the 9th place: Half-Life 2 (2004) - Set new standards for physics-based gameplay and world-building.

this list is utterly BS. what influence had kingdom come deliverance 2 (which released 2 months ago) on video games? This list is missing titles like halo, everquest, stacraft, ultima, resident evil or sim city. Shenmue on 1 is a joke. community polls are as usual a waste of time and ressources.

Shenmue #1? Even as a fan of this when I had it on Dreamcast, it did influence QTEs as we know them, open world gameplay, as well as our view on finding sailors. I'd still list it below, say, Doom and Mario.
