I talked to a therapist about setting up times to be home to call my father only for him to be out because he “forgot” he had symphony tickets. The therapist pointed out that my father could call me if he wanted to. It’s been 8 years and he hasn’t called.

It's always "you should call!" and never "what time are you free"

I've gotten my folks to at least attempt "what time are you free" but no matter what I say at this point they end up pushing for a time that I'm not free. Amazing how busy they are for retirees.
