Gillian, I believe what is coming next is that they pick people up off the streets and directly drive them to parked airplanes. Zip tie them to the seats and they sit there for hours or days until the plane is full. Then they all fly to Texas where the judges favor ICE.

There’s a % of trump voters motivated primarily by mistrust of the establishment and were invested in the idea of trump as an outsider. Now his regime is showing itself to be the most corrupt version of what they hate. Not all of them will admit they were wrong, but it’s a solid set of wedge issues.

Arizona tried this in 2010 with the papers-please legislation and private prison company with ties to the governor's office. It did not last long; ruled unconstitutional. But kind of a test run, I guess, for today's DHS and ICE.
