Yesterday, Aug. 20, was one of the worst days of ICE flights I've seen. -At least 82 ICE flights -At least 15 were removal flights, including Haiti -At least 5 removals were third-country removals (Cameroon, Costa Rica, Liberia, Paraguay, Rwanda) -Plus 1 emergency return for reasons unknown

Agree. What I meant was at the level of public chatter, which is obviously anecdotal. I hear people talking about the economy/cost of living and the rampant corruption, almost exclusively.

Is there any estimate you have about how many people might be on these flights? I am wondering what rough speculation we have about the number of people being handled like cargo on a daily basis. It's just shameful.

That’s a good question. We know very few of the flights are full, and even with the full ones up to a third of the seats will be taken by federal agents and GEO Group guards, but no, I don’t know of an estimate and ICE doesn’t release this info.

I saw a report where countries won't take back people and now they are in different prisons all over Africa, they had families, jobs, homes, payed taxes and a good life now they are sitting in prisons

The latest immigration policies seem outright desperate w/ only goal being removing as many folks as possible asap. There will be political & legal consequences. Meanwhile, families shattered. US kids’ lives are collateral damage. 😞

People need to look up the Liberian genocide, totally sponsored by the psycho-right and "liberals" of the US It's something truly horrifying They recruited small children, and task them to murder their family, tribe, friends To rape and murder everything www.ohchr.org/en/statement...
