First time I've ever attempted to calibrate a PVM via internal trim pots. This one's struggling real hard to make blue happen. I know I have some more knowledgeable CRT friends on here - any tips for diagnosing the problem?

this was exactly the issue I had with @lazerwalker.com's PVM8220 iirc. It was an issue with the analog board iirc, I did a board swap from a working one, but if you take a scope to the test points on the board, the service manual will show you what to look for and how to adjust trim to get there.

Sounds stupid but have you tried a different source and video cables? I’ve had at least two instances of the problem being at the source of the image and not the CRT. (Dodgy analog IO board from eBay, and later an inherent issue with component encoding on MiSTer that only showed up on trinitrons.)

Good suggestion but it's unfortunately not that - I have similar issues through a Playstation. It did occur to me that I should try running 240p test suite over RGB and not composite but I don't think it'll make that huge of a difference
