This #BlackHistoryMonth we want to highlight heroes from our union. Aurellia Martins worked at Oakfield House, a care home on Wimbledon Common. Management refused to organise transport for the women working long and anti-social hours.

After one of her colleagues was sexually assaulted, she took a stand and won the battle for safe working conditions for herself and her sisters 👏🏾 She was the first black woman to receive the TUC Gold Badge for her services to trade unionism. #BlackHistoryMonth
