starting to think that going to church every sunday was actually a good thing for society, not because of any religious part of it but just because the fabric of society was apparently held together with potlucks and weekly communal gatherings man

idk i am mostly just thinking about how good for "walls are closing in" brain it's been to be at a community centre once a week now. even if you're not interacting with a ton of folks it's grounding to be around people in that way.

I hate my job but I actually love interacting with the folks who live in my town because they see me as a part of their town. It grounds me as a human living among humans.

It sounds very very boiler plate and pointless to iterate but the loss of physical third spaces has been a tragedy for our towns and culture.
