I spend so much time on platforms with people that are aggressively anti AI that every so often I have to go check out what the pro AI people are up to for some balance. As annoyed as I get with the witch hunting and posturing, oh my god the slop slingers are absolutely cooked.

These people genuinely believe hard work and commitment to a craft is dumb and a waste of time. You have absolutely no chance of convincing them not to use AI, they are convinced they are really achieving something. To them volume and speed are more important than care and attention to detail.

anyone who spent actual time and hard work to learn something complicated is a gatekeeper. this is consumerism brain: consumerism promises a constant frictionless experience from desire to acquisition. these people think any sweat is friction and they refuse to engage.

They describe what they are doing as somehow countercultural and punk. Like they seriously talk about it like they are Robin Hood taking back from the evil greedy artists. It's fucking bizzare. It's the fucking mental gymnastics olympics over there.

It's so deeply frustrating how for every 1 well-made model that helps predict cancer there's 1000 dumbasses vibe-coding things that already exist for free. Their "work" is literally worthless and they have absolutely 0 respect for anyone who works hard to do something that isn't building a website
