It was insane. There was footage of cops psyching themselves up, then running full speed and diving into a group of people swinging his baton and nobody was fighting them or anything. But people were like "the poor cops HAD to attack those violent protestors."

It was never about protect and serve and always about occupy and pacify.

I only managed to watch one night of Ferguson protests--it was the night that someone set fire to the 7-11 and the crowd of protestors visibly ran to extinguish it. Which was, of course, reported as "protestors set 7-11 on fire", and not just on GOP TV.

Exactly! I remember watching it live. The cops rolled up out of nowhere in an armored vehicle, and got on the PA and said "This is no longer a peaceful protest!" And I yelled out loud, "The fuck it isn't!!" 😡

We’ll see what the media says about it tomorrow and next week. I watched cops fire on JOURNALISTS and the media’s response was still “fuck around and find out.” No honor among thieves.

My broken brain thought we all knew this is how it goes but everyone else just supported the cops on this

When the media stop being police stenographers and actually report on what they do. Until then? Harder and harder to convince people when cops lie.
