We have a bunch of actually committed and effective local politicians in NYC. Support them. @bradlander.bsky.social @jumaane.bsky.social @advocate.nyc.gov @shahanafrombk.bsky.social @cmalexaaviles.bsky.social @alexaforcouncil25.bsky.social @nycprogressives.bsky.social @agounardes.bsky.social

A thing you can do RIGHT NOW in New York? Call your NYS rep and senator and tell them to support the New York for All act - and tell your NYC city council person to support the NYC Trust Act. Find your reps here: reps.fyi

And as Marcela Mitaynes says, call @governor.ny.gov and tell here to call a special session to pass New York for All! Go ahead, do it now! 518-474-8390 bsky.app/profile/greg...

The great Marcela Mitaynes spoke very movingly, as usual, and once again asked folks to call @governor.ny.gov to tell her to support the New York for All bill that would prevent state and local agencies across the state from coordinating with ICE. Hochul's number again: 1-518-474-8390

There are MANY things you can do depending on your safety needs. You don't have to protest. You can volunteer or donate to groups that help immigrants. You can call your reps. You can join your local Indivisible group's #SignsOfSolidarity efforts. There's always something we can do.
