Deeply important to understand that Trump never jokes. All of this stuff that started as a joke and then became real was never a joke. He always says what he wants to do and people SAY it's a joke because they're too callow to acknowledge that he's the most ignorant, vicious person alive.

I think it was Penn Jillette who said Trump is the only person he's ever met who has literally no sense of humor and literally never tells jokes
