NEW: Senator Chuck Schumer is calling for Congress to come back to Washington immediately and vote on a war powers resolution regarding Iran. MS NOW's @alivitali.bsky.social reports.
Here's Ilhan Omar. Much more clearly stating the illegality of this war and consequences to civilians. But same ultimate ask - a vote on the Khanna/Massie War Powers resolution. bsky.app/profile/repi...
Sanders' statement. Very clearly anti-war. But still the same practical ask as Schumer and every other D (except Landsman, who seems to entirely support the war) that I've seen - a vote on the War Powers resolution. bsky.app/profile/sand...
Slotkin's statement on the other end of the spectrum. Doesn't explicitly call for a vote on the War Powers resolution - just says Trump "hasn't followed the Constitution" and "Congress should come back to Washington to debate these issues." bsky.app/profile/slot...
