In the wake of Belfast riots, I just sent this to @mayor.nyc.gov to implore him to require the city post NOTHING on X except emergency notices. Please contact your own reps. There has to be a line. This is a public safety issue. They must get the hell off of X. www.nyc.gov/mayors-offic...

Support your local library, your local mutual aid groups, your local immigrant rights groups, your local LGBQT+ groups (especially your local trans rights groups), and your local DSA/Indivisible/WFP chapters. Whatever you care about, SOMEONE is probably doing something about it locally. Join 'em!

Take five minutes (literally just five minutes!) to visit reps.fyi, look up your representatives, and add them to your contacts on your phone. That makes it super easy to call and yell at them when they screw up - or call and thank them when they do the right thing. Calling our reps really matters!

Calling your reps not only makes them pay attention to the things you care about, it also feels GREAT. We actually still have power. Calling our reps reminds us of that. And exercising our power makes us stronger and ready to KEEP flexing our muscles. Try it! Feels FANTASTIC! reps.fyi

There is literally always something we can do to defend our rights and push back against fascism. Ignore the deactivists and doomers. Find your lane, help out, and keep it moving. Here are some of my fave people on here who regularly suggest actual, practical things to DO. go.bsky.app/9H3C9Ty
