Saw @ginafortexas.bsky.social at an event in NYC tonight. The latest Siena poll has her 4 points ahead of Abbott - which I think is the best polling any Texas Democrat has had in a governor's race in a generation.

Gina Hinojosa: "The fight of 2026 is to decide is this going to be a Texas and America that is by and for the people, or is this the billionaires' world and we just live here. That's the fight."

@ginafortexas.bsky.social talked about data centers and fighting billionaires. Also talked about the fact that Texas will gain more seats in the US House in the future - and if she's the next governor, she'll block Republican gerrymandering.

Didn't like Hinojosa's recent "Pronouns" ad. I *DO* like her actual voting record in Texas for trans rights, and I'm glad that unlike some other politicians, she's not waffling on those stances.

@ginafortexas.bsky.social would absolutely be the best governor Texas has had since Ann Richards. If you're in Texas, I hope you'll vote for her - and then continue to push her on all the issues you care about, just as we have to push every one of our electeds as hard as we can.

I wore the Ann Richards for Governor jacket that I got when I worked on that campaign in 1990. Christy Turlington liked it, lol. (And yes, I was masking lol - just took off my mask for the photo.)
