I've been reviewing the websites of the "A.i." pilots @mayor.nyc.gov is pushing on the schools - and I do not see independent proof of their value! When asked how we know these pilots are effective at a city council hearing, the DOE said these pilots would demonstrate that. By testing on our kids???

The sheet says the district chose the "A.i." program in part because of "1:1 AI Math Coaching for each student on every problem in their native language." So was it the "A.i." that helped - or was it teaching kids in their native language?

There's no evidence here of an actual scientific study. None of these programs show independent studies proving their effectiveness. Meanwhile, we've seen MULTIPLE studies showing kids who use "A.i." have declining cognitive skills and exam scores. Here's one: blogs.worldbank.org/en/investinp...

Kids also cannot simply opt out of these "A.i." pilots. If they get pushed into one, they have to CHANGE CLASSES. If you've ever had a kid in the NYC public schools, you know how hard that can be! Say NO to shoving our kids against their will into untested "A.i." pilots!
