I’m very happy for Canada, but regret that it is not the UK that is the EU first associate member, or even better it’s next full member again.

it’s a shame Starmer and now perhaps Burnham aren’t up for the earache from Reform to do this. I hope you can rejoin or have some sort of productive relationship with the rest of Europe soon.

I’m not optimistic in the short term about rejoining Europe but when my generation is dead and gone, I think the young people will join with enthusiasm. We have screwed up the world and left a mess for them to clear up.
