We owe it to those already there to make this right. In whatever equitable way possible.

Re: U.S. CECOT detainees, the main q is NOT 'did they ever allegedly commit a crime?' Rather: Is the US allowed to deliver them into lifetime imprisonment in a notorious Salvadoran prison camp without charge, trial, sentencing, or consideration of international/asylum/anti-torture law? Clearly no!

Money is involved. Ongoing payments to big business and to Bukele himself are far too important for some court to end the business relationship. Only a different US administration can stop this. No matter how many contempt rulings T gets, he has no interest in changing his tune

I agree. Unfortunately, Trump and his immoral minions are willing to abandon every legal standard. Those standards include openly defying appellate and Supreme Court rulings and implementing policies that will hurt the largest number of people.

Trump, the fascist president knows that he might lose cases against some migrants so it is better to fly them out to prisons where the ask no questions and just take a small fee. These places of incarceration could never pass for the 8th amendment against cruel and unusual punishment 😖😖😖😖😖

Yes, I'm actually irritated by the, "He didn't commit a crime, he shouldn't be there" folks. The most important point is, "nobody" should be there. You think someone is a criminal or here illegally? Give that person the appropriate hearing/trial (you know, due process), and go from there. Not hard.

Hitler wannabes don’t practice due process. Trump “knows everything,” so he knows they don’t belong here. We’ll see if Republicans in congress start to follow their oath to defend the constitution 😰😰😰😰😰😰

And whether or not that person is guilty or undocumented or whatever, the punishment can't be, "we'll send him/her to a torture prison in one of our favorite dictatorships." We have jails, and we have deportations - neither of those involve foreign gulags.

The law allows deportations of non-citizens to the country of their origin. Deporting people to hell-hole Salvadoran Prisons who are not from El Salvador, is not. Trump is responsible for this and Trump should pay the price for this, not the government, & must be Impeached and removed from office

CECOT isn’t a prison—it’s a torture chamber built on mass incarceration and fear. No trials. No sunlight. Just starvation, beatings, and silence. The EL Salvadoran govt says they’ll “never get out.” This is a human rights nightmare. Watch this video. Share it. And raise hell.

Trump has established his de facto ability to tyrannise anyone. Soon it will be done to white Americans who stand up to him. Navalnyism has reached America! Sheer Nazism. Blatant and gloated! Made America Gross Again. And for always!

Today a Russian poet was given 3 years in jail for her pro Ukraine stance. A least she got a “trial” of sorts and it was made public. In America the masked men just grab you, chain you and disappear you. No trial, nothing. Who would have said that American injustice would exceed Russian injustice?
