I wish I didnt have to be famous to have a chat with someone like Hideo Kojima bc God, to talk to people who actually have such a deep love for their craft would be such a fun convo. Let me visit the Anime studios I would be yapping with those guys for days about the process

It makes sense, when you think about it. The newer celebs are going to be younger millennials/zoomers who grew up on stuff like anime and video games. One day, there's going to be a US President who'll say that they loved something like Super Smash Bros.

im gonna be honest the phase feels very much like them discovering they like anime for the very first time because its trendy to be nerdy now rather than it being a long time enjoyment they didnt have to go through the trenches and now they're like wow sugoi japan

I suppose I don't know much about that then. I didn't realise it is unironically trendy to be nerdy. I'm still in the mindset where if you like something like Gundam or 4X strategy games, you don't dare speak about them lest you invite others to think lesser of you.
