I agree with this so long as people keep insisting on putting download links to their mods/games/projects, or tech support answers behind a bloody Discord channel.

Ended up beating #NeedforSpeedCarbon on the PS2. A much shorter game, but I think I like it more than Most Wanted. Took only maybe like 8 hours? Helps how you don't need to beat like 15 bloody rivals and spend hours faffing about with the police. Game is pretty easy, for the most part...

I beat #NeedforSpeedMostWanted 2005 for the first time recently on PS2. I never knew it was a prequel to Need for Speed Carbon, as I only ever owned Carbon when I was younger. It does answer some questions I had, like who that Cross guy was. Anyway, Most Wanted? Good game.

Seriously, that canyon race took all my effort to beat him. Could've cheesed it with a Corvette or Lambo, but nah. I wanted to hate myself. Also, barely had to flee the police. According to the stats, I only ever encountered the police 10 times! It's like the total opposite problem of Most Wanted!

I might revisit Carbon with the PC version, modded. I am interested in the stupidly named "Race Wars" race type in that version. Also, the possibility of racing against 29 opponents or racing against the entire cast of Most Wanted. For now, I shall continue going through Mega Man.

I say "most part" as I barely beat the first crew leader, Kenji, in a stock Mazda RX-8, as I didn't know how to upgrade my car. Once I learnt how to, the rest of the game was easy. With the exception of Darius, of course. But that was because I tried to beat him using the Nissan Skyline.

The rich and powerful will continue to live in a whole different world while the common folk scramble for scraps. They know they can do anything and get away with it.

The writing on the wall was there since Andromeda's release. It's surprising BioWare wasn't shut earlier, to be honest. Especially with how EA and all these other giant publishers now expect games to sell a Morbillion copies otherwise they punish developer studios with layoffs.

BREAKING: Electronic Arts is cutting 400 jobs and shutting down BioWare, the legendary development studio behind Dragon Age and Mass Effect. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Here's hoping that in the future, someone somehow picks up one of BioWare's IPs and is able to make a new game in the series. I've enjoyed both Mass Effect and Dragon Age, so it would be sad to see them gone forever. Or maybe not. Maybe it's best that they end now before they get worse.

I'd get behind this if phones these days still had headphone jacks. But they don't. Instead, they want you to buy those bloody Bluetooth earphones that you can easily lose. Bring back headphone jacks.

This film is 3 bloody hours. I can spend like 5 minutes skimming the Wikipedia page on Elizabeth Holmes and understand enough to know that they suck. We don't need to put these types of people in a spotlight like this. I guarantee that nothing in the 3-hour runtime justifies the film's existence.

The way I see it, console manufacturers will need to do one of the following: a) Halt production of new consoles until the price of hardware falls back to normal, instead supporting current gen b) Produce new consoles with inferior hardware at a lower cost, focusing on optimisation and performance

Went ahead and beat the DLCs for #AlienIsolation on Nightmare difficulty as well. They really were short, but it was nice to: a) run around the Nostromo and b) play as Ellen Ripley during the final events of the Alien film. Except for rescuing Jonesy. They left the cat out!

Blobbem@blobbem.bsky.social

Maybe I'll check out the two story DLCs, as I've heard they're short and I may as well since I own them. Afterwards, I think I'm going to go through the Mega Man games.

I don't know why they just don't scrap the TV licence fee and fund it via a general tax. I suppose that'll risk the BBC from being even more beholden to the government, but it is important to have a public service broadcaster.

I've watched multiple playthroughs of #AlienIsolation over the years, but never had I actually played it myself. Always wanted to play it during Spooky Season... So I did. I beat the game on Nightmare difficulty with the Alien Overhaul mod, and even got the achievement for no human kills.

Super glad I've now played it. Great game. Easily my favourite horror game ever. What's funny, though, is how the most difficult part of it on Nightmare isn't the Alien. Nor the Working Joes. It's the damn humans with guns. If they see you, it's so over. I really hope Alien: Isolation 2 is good.

Since I was in preschool. Hadn't even made it to Year 1 in Primary and I was already a bit of an outcast. Became more so as the years went by.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: This sounds like a joke question, but it isn’t. If it doesn’t apply to you, fine. But it’s a serious question with different levels of meaning. And I am genuinely curious. When did you first realize you were weird?

Also didn't help how, in some of those bounty milestones, if you got busted, you'd have to do it all over again. And it can be so easy to get busted because of stupid stuff. The Reset Car button, for example, may as well be called the Instant Busted button. Because that's all it really did.

I tried out some of the challenges in the challenge series, too. There's a lot of them. Too much. Shame as there's some interesting ones in there if you can tolerate the grind. Anyway, I've moved onto Need for Speed: Carbon next. May as well do the sequel again, now with added context!

Took a bit to get used to how the cars handle, but it is fun to drive once I did. Since I played Carbon, most of the game felt familiar, such as how the police chase mechanic works. My complaints are that the game is bit too long. No need for 15 rivals. 10 would've been fine.

My other complaint is how tedious some of the rival bounty milestones are. Having to spend so much time faffing with the police wasn't fun or interesting. Some required stuff like X amount of roadblocks, which the game takes forever to spawn. As a result, the game suffers from boring repetition.

I'm in the middle of my first time playthrough of #AlienIsolation and, man, this really is my favourite horror game ever. I put this sucker onto Nightmare difficulty and am using an Alien AI overhaul mod to make it a little more unpredictable. I hope the sequel will be as good.

My only possible reaction:

Wait, there's another Bolsonaro? Will Brazil keep having to choose between Lula and a Bolsonaro until the heat death of the universe?

Polls have closed in Brazil as voters across the country will decide whether to elect a new president in light of rising violence and concerns over U.S. interference in the country.

Please don't make me side with Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Tucker: “I never understood why 🇬🇧 fought World War 2?” 😕 Rees-Mogg: “It was good vs. evil…We did the right thing…” Tucker: “Has 🇬🇧 benefitted?” RM: “We defeated Hitler… We’d all be speaking German…” Tucker: “Who cares?” 🤔

Decided to watch this stupid interview, and Tucker Carlson's entire position regarding Russia is how he naively believes that Russia won't fight you if you don't look at them funny. That they will simply not invade once they're done with Ukraine. He's 100% a naive isolationist and appeaser.

He also seems to really struggle with the concept of proportional response. It's either total pacifism or nuclear armageddon. He's so anti-war that he's effectively pro-war. By fretting so much over how innocents die in war, he'd allow innocents to die at the hands of a dictator instead.

"How did you get into ttrpgs?" I didn't. Never played one at all. You need friends for them and I never knew anyone who played them. Always been semi-interested in stuff like D&D, but at the same time, I knew you have to commit to them. Plus, I have zero creativity.

After taking about 104 hours, I'm done with #DragonAgeInquisition, and the #DragonAge series. Inquisition is one LOOOOONG game, dudes. But I am glad to be done. I enjoyed the time I've had with the series, with Origins being my favourite. Inquisition was alright, but some areas were far too large.

And here's what happened to the Elves... who many decided to disappear. Good for them??? Went through all the effort of trying to help them and they just bugger off...

Now that I am FINALLY done with DA:I, I will play Alien: Isolation next, seeing as we're now in the "Spooky Season". I will attempt to play it on Nightmare difficulty, using the "Bay's Alien Isolation Overhaul V2" mod to make the alien even more unpredictable. God help me.

Here comes the post-game events! There's a lot of them... Here's what happened to the Inquisition, the Qunari, and Cassandra.

Here's what happened to Vivienne, Sera, and Varric. And yes, I made my Inquisitor become a Red Jenny. Dude had to do SOMETHING after the Inquisition disbanded.

Excuse how ugly my elf character is. I am never good at character creators, so I just rush together something quick. Glad I went with an elf mage. Felt like it was a good choice for Inquisition's story. My character had a lot of elven stuff to learn and say.

Yes, I did disband the Inquisition afterwards. And yes, I did have my character romance Cassandra who became the next Divine. What of it?

The game also had never-ending repeatable quests via the Requisition Tables. I did the quests at least once in every area, with the exception of one bloody quest that required like 4 Malachites, which are near impossible to get, especially if you sold the three guaranteed spawns like I did.

Anyway, I'm going to post a load of screenshots now, so prepare yourself. They're mostly going to be "what happened to X after the story ended" with some screenshots of the final DLC.
