i think i know how to articulate one of the most off-putting things about all these videos (and which contributes, though not wholly, to my viscerally negative reaction to them): there's no real sense of space. the camera never frames its subjects from any angle but full dead-on, it's too flat

like, there's never a moment where the camera is elevated above the subject, but over to stage left, and pointed down and towards stage right, to give any sort of indication that this stuff exists in anything other than a flat plane. it's the same issue i have with most american animation actually

like look at the way everything in there can be described by, at most, parallax of the floor in the background, while everything in the foreground is just scaled and translated billboards. (i'm aware this stuff is probably just svg elements being dragged around under the hood or whatever, but still)
