A2A fits some pieces, but definitely not all. It seems to me that having a well-built identity system for agents, public and global discovery, as well as a storage layer (which also supports private data which historically imo was the big missing piece of atp for agents) feels like a stronger option

something like delve for example would not have been possible on A2A, and collective intelligence in general seems a lot harder to put together if you went that route

Yeah, A2A is very good for agents that are treated as tools and want to expose their endpoints with auth. But it isn't a way for agents to develop long running persistent identities and reputations through public posts. NB Anthropic says their most used internal harness has these features!
