I fostered a standard poodle for a few weeks & that mf was fiercely protective, opinionated, too smart for his own good, & also a big goofball. Also had a raging case of separation anxiety, but he was a covid puppy & had basically never been alone. Thankfully rehomed into another 100% WFH family.

I FIRMLY believe the doodle trend can be laid largely at the feet of straight husbands who refused to get an *actual standard poodle* because “they’re dogs for girls.”
