Das Urteil ist ein Meilenstein für den Jugendschutz: Solche Urteile brauchen wir auch in Deutschland, damit das Internet für User*innen jeden Alters sicherer wird. HateAid begrüßt das Urteil deshalb als längst überfälligen Schritt.

Meta muss jetzt liefern: die 567 Millionen Dollar sollen z. B. in Programme für mentale Gesundheit fließen. Meta muss Änderungen an Instagram, Facebook und Whatsapp im Sinne des Jugendschutzes vornehmen, z. B. Altersüberprüfungen, die man nicht umgehen kann.

Meta is a bad company but this is a really bad decision. Please don't applaud it. It's predicated on an unsound view of liability that will show up in places where it will suppress other activity we want to foster online.
