hearing the presumably baseless rumour that star wars is going to retcon the sequel trilogy out of existence and choosing to believe it. that would be such a terrible decision and also just endlessly funny

genuinely fascinating to consider this franchise as a storytelling object currently, on which dozens of individual stories rest but which as a whole has been killed of all forward momentum because they drove the main continuity into a ditch.
