I was going to say "well at least its not an evil predatory exploitation game like master duel" then i remembered that all those old yugioh videgames had exclusive rare cards as pack-ins so uh, jury's out

the actual funny thing is its insane yu gi oh survived long enough to even become konami's evil playground this is 2004 and the game is NOT finished. goat format found dead

to be fair a lot of people were dumb babies at the time but even like in japan before global the game was so popular konami caused a riot at tokyo dome when they tried to exclusively stock exodia there. the earliest JP card metas were shockingly simple but it had its hooks in

the exodia tokyo dome riot is a top ten konami moment its so fucking funny. especially with how the tcg players have completely understandably always seen the ocg as a promised land where things are affordable and normal

Idk if you fuck with the 5Ds cast at all, but WCS2011 is a really good one on the DS. It fanfics you as a different guy into the anime's plot kinda like 7th Stand User, but you're way further outside the main group. You start in a mining town they don't get to in the show until way later.

i played 2009 as a teen and i really liked it but i havent seen 5Ds so i am currently suffering through the dual monsters anime so i can continue on with GX, then i wanna check ou the games. i could probably skip to GX (i've read the manga, which is goated) but theres just enough differences

Other than Tag Force Special (which basically isn't a real Tag Force game) I've only really sank my teeth into 1, and I hope the scheduling mechanics become a lot more real as they go on. Maybe I'm just playing it wrong, but it bugs me how much I can grind per time unit in TG1.
