imagine being a corporate lawyer and actually writing this shit in a document and that being your life. knowing your presumably massive salary (but not - crucially - as massive as those you defend) comes from saying ‘discord channels are like a room filled with 300 people wearing masks’

R* is also properly hammering Discord. It has encouraged the tribunal to imagine the platform as a series of physical rooms—filled with hundreds of people, including some ‘wearing masks’—with doors that allow inhabitants to take information into the public domain.

also and this is not the most important thing here but genuinely how is anyone expected to do creative work under these conditions

Such a bizarre paranoia for the studio to have when they’ve only made like three new games in the last fifteen years and they’re all sequels. Easy for me to say as a non-shareholder plebe, I guess, but what’s there even been to keep confidential? That there’ll be cowboys in RDR2 and cars in GTA6?

This whole time I've wondered why someone would even go to the trouble of leaking GTA 6 but if I was being hassled like this every time I went to work I would also consider leaking stuff just to show my bosses how stupid and pointless this is

Even ignoring how shitty and unnecessary and worker unfriendly this all reads as, it is hilarious that they went to these lengths to prevent leaks and then proceeded to have a massive leak.

My manager: So what have you been working on lately? Me, a contractor: I'm not sure I can say, I'm not sure if I'm even allowed to know. My supervisor, an inventor in the middle of finalizing a sale of that will make the company a billion dollars: I'm gonna do the Archer voicemail joke.
