the total failure of every negative policy the british government implements is always, always evidence for doing that policy even harder. then it fails again. then we just do it harder again. rinse and repeat til everything is banned

there is a solid segment of middle class thought that holds really strongly that if we could just ban porn then all of society's problems will be solved

you see it especially in the sort of women that listen to radio 4 and write for newspapers but they genuinely are convinced that all men will start being lovely again if they could just get inside their head and turn off the libido
