i am trying to remember that all of this struggle to stop the democratic party from being dragged left is, on the bright side, because it is necessarily being dragged back to the left. like it or not this is a required corrective. and the hollering means dogs are getting hit

the rightward drift sold by the centrists, since clinton had rickey ray rector whacked so show he was tough on crime AND black people, ill even be charitable: maybe it was smart then. and hey we cannot PROVE this just pushed the window all the way to the right. either way that's over now

There‘s an argument to be made that, give how the end of the Cold War did not produce a resurgence in the profit rate, the Dems had to move right to win and maintain power. The thing is, permanent austerity only has one logical conclusion: triage and ethnic cleansing. And the GOP simply lapped them.

you're going to have to go back to offering an affirmative vision and it cannot be the one where a wealthy donor class rules over us like feudal warlords. we cannot allow this to happen any more. we are past the breaking point. they broke it

i think its a good thing that generally, in big and small ways it seems like people just cant take it anymore. Trump got 2 bites of the apple because of this imo. That more people are getting disillusioned to him and the traditional r and ds is good.
