The same people who defended the collective punishment of Palestinian civilians, which meant thousands of innocent people died, are now outraged by the collective punishment of Maccabi Tel Aviv football fans, which will mean a few hundred innocent people miss a football match.

good point. and some of those same people didn't just defend it, they aggressively advocated for it and traduced their opponents as terrorist sympathisers and antisemites. meanwhile, those same people pander day-in, day-out to the extreme right. I think that sums up the UK government's record so far
