I've been interested in something like this for a long time, bought it =) If you have other recommendations for practical usage I'm all ears! Thanks for writing this book

I set out to write the book I wish I'd read ten years ago. It's aimed at the working programmer with no math background, and teaches them everything from refactoring to constraint programming to formal methods. If you don't learn anything new from this book, I'll be *very* impressed.

The book was self-published, but I took every step possible to make it feel professional. I had an excellent graphic designer, I paid editors, I ran every chapter through at least one expert (for accuracy) and at least one beginner (for accessibility). Some chapters were rewritten thrice.

To make sure it looked good in print, I did five proofs. The printed version actually its own complex toolchain to build, as it needs different fonts and margins than the ebook PDF while still preserving 1-1 page compatibility. I think the results are worth it, though!

Not visible on the previous spread: the three days I went through manually tweaking paragraphs to minimize widows and orphans and keep codeblocks on one page as much as feasibly possible. I have new respect for anybody who lays out books as a job
