This has shades to me of the Lisp Curse: when a language is able to do too much, collaborating with other users of the language becomes a lot harder. Tooling and library authors especially have their work cut out for them. And since tooling and libraries are critical to software adoption, well...

Nixos eh? If you want inspiration on how to wire up neovim into Nixos and macOS (with nix) in a way that lets you keep your neovim configuration completely normal, I set that up here github.com/hazelweakly/... However I, uhh, do a lot of not normal things in the configuration 😅

I keep coming back to a similar feeling when building apps of all sorts. Whether you're building a framework vs using a framework, building UI components vs using a package, etc.
