It's a new week. New development thread for PONDUS! (a boardgame I'm cooking that is ready to come out of the oven.) This week? We're launching on Kickstarter! (tuesday 10/13! Ponder about it!)

I'm designing a game. Thematically, you're a wizard, thirsty for an all powerful wish, only 4 orbs of power can grant. Mechanically, 1-4 players are flipping tiles, programming actions, managing domino magic and energy to fight those who stand in your way. Coming to Kickstarter mid October.

It's all me. no team of folks. very low budget. with that in mind, and with my lack of 3D skills, most KS pages have a 3D box that shows the game off. Think i've managed to fake it here. We use a standard magnetic box size at @mimicpublishing.com if you have our hex kit, same exact size box.

Real world examples of our boxes. Our 1-4p box is in a 9x9" and our 1-2p is in a 9x5" (both magnetic!) it's a premium box. Very sturdy. Aim is to find enough room for the 1-4p box to store everything PONDUS if you combine them. But keep the spine as thin as possible. (I gotta one hand hold my games)

At least with my games (maybe one day mimic will publish others) they line up on the shelf. The color banner at the bottom separates the series. I'm making 10 games in my design career for this. Full Rainbow by the end of it all (plus black white grey) PONDUS is yellow. Also they're all connected.

Just had a lovely 2p co-op play of PONDUS with my wife. (First time she's played the 'real deal'). She won the orb! Good run through, nice to have another practice teach. Nice to get feedback from someone who doesn't play games often. She crushed it. We had a blast. Can't wait for folks to play it!
