Ben has been showing us his game and it's development over the past year+ on the Atopia discord WIP wednesday show & Tell meetup. It's been really cool to see it grow up from the skeleton it was to the giant it is now. lot of cool ideas here! People are so clever!

Like cool books? How about tarot cards? How about TTRPGs that feel like magic? Defend heaven from human intruders in The Firmament, a GM-less game of dark fantasy and divine horror, going live on Kickstarter tomorrow!! ttrpg.fund/firmament

We've reached a very nice milestone for the PONDUS campaign. I will send a pallet of games to the person who can get us to 420% funded. Lol think of the memes! It could be you!

When you go to a convention do you try to get your games signed by the creators? Why/why not? I gotta find @patrickleder.bsky.social someday to complete my ahoy box. (And maybe an intern or whoever else touched it, gotta learn the deets)

Spare a dollar, save a wizard? Every day the Pondus kickstarter doesn't fund, i'll post an image of the wizards pixelating away into nothingness. (we got ads going, and a newsletter going out tomorrow, fingers crossed! so far around 50/65 backers came from an email)

Your world is fading away. Magic is an ounce of what it once was. Make a wish before it all blows away in the wind.

You arrive in the area from up on a cliff. A factory town is below. It takes all day to hike down through the thick woods. You pick off a few domino berries, just in case there's trouble. Townsfolk stare you down as you walk past. In the tavern your stomach drops. You're not the only wizard here.

someone point these 142 folks to the pondus campaign. If we're throwing money away, boy do i have a game that you'll actually play and will help a bunch of folks get to actually play it someday. Surely all this stuff takes up a whole kallax. This cost doesn't include shelf costs. wild.

What is this hobby anymore? 🤦

The end goal is a cidery. Sounds like the way things are moving, several orchards on small "affordable" 1-2 acre plots. One central location. Kombucha, cider, apple spritzers. Some board games sure. Think 3rd space, but no to little coffee. Trails along the orchards. An early sketch:

I think after 5pm. It becomes adult swim. Bottles only. Split. Small bites. White pies. (Splittable) Games (splittable) bottles (splittable) . Splittable. Once you walk through the doors, we share. There is no "I'll have". It's "we'll have" We. Splittable. Have a night together for once.

It's one check babe. Guess what. Splittable. How peckish are we? Hummus plate? Splittable. Sparkling Black Arkansas? Splittable. Cheesecake? Splittable. Need another spoon? I got you hun. Bring your friends. You know a spot. Oh yeah? There is something for everyone. Splittable.

I think they closed. But there was a beautiful idea in upstate NY once. Abandoned Cidery. They worked on abandoned orchards, and made cider from them. 3-4 outposts in the area. No central place. We stopped at one and it blew my mind. I don't know what happened. But I think about them often.

I would love to create an environment where you grab a table with a friend and split a bottle of something. Bottle splitting. Nothing bonds you faster. Not individual drinks. A shared bottle. From the land. From 5ft away. From nearby.

Need a better name. I'm thinking... Cinnamon Farms. Honey Cider & Co. Parched & Co. Apple Tales. Long Stories. Back Again. Seed to Sow. Apple Embers. Toast & Roast. Sip & Tip. Grasp. Gathering. Sip & Gather. Apple Straw. Haystack. Friendly Leaf. Bite Sip. Wandering Wizard. Fermentation Wizards.

No espresso machine for sure. I'm fine with cold brew. Infused teas, way more common. Work during the day. Cocktails at night.

Freshly Uploaded Pondus video: I show off the #boardgame prototype I made, teach you the game, and play a solo adventure session. (And my cat Syn visits us for a second) youtu.be/hU8T8w2g8g8 (I think this is much better than my stream the other week)

While we wait for @boardgamegeek.com to approve our page, I thought I'd go ahead and post a design diary over on the Kickstarter. The seed of Pondus, where it's come from since Oct 2022, very much on the path to where it is now. It's fun to see the changes! www.kickstarter.com/projects/mim...
