github.com/TanStack/que... So basically we've been discussing the ongoing changes in staleTime and single observer vs observer per query. And observer per query scales bad etc. So there will be changes, and furthermore, react native is a bit different as many screens never unmount.

So in order to optimize things, we'll pass a new prop which will enable or disable the subscribers. Even though react-freeze/react native screens already stops re-rendering for unfocused screens, it would still do all the fetching etc. Unsubscribing should help optimizing perf. Check the link

It's always nice when React-Native is getting some Love. React-Native has some unique challenges and rough edges. Especially DevTools are not on the same level as on the web. DevTools in general have always been a difficult topic 😅 The expo react-query devtools are really helpful.

These improvements sound great!🎉 This will make it much easier to improve perf. Most Apps currently are probably still fetching on inactive screens

Yes, most of the times they will. But it will be up to the devs to pass the prop
