Aren't these tools are essentially copy pasting the text into GPT and asking if it's AI?

No no no. It's completely different. It's essentially copy pasting the text into GPT and asking it to make up a number for how "AI-ish" it is. The numerical value from the probabilistic text generator makes it all good and reliable, unlike ChatGPT. 😬
