Judging by the latest trailer the new one seems to be going for at least a Pixar/Family movie level narrative and has a slight mystery element, so I can see why people would want to learn it on their own even if it's not the deepest shit ever.

I hate this notion that only story elements of a game can be spoiled. Gameplay mechanics, stages, and bosses that were not revealed in the trailers is something I %100 consider a spoiler and wish more people saw it that way.

Using another Mario game as an example, when Odyssey came out I had to shut off social media for a bit because people posted locations of Moons and videos of sequence breaks in the game. They ruined my experience of discovering those moons / beating those challenges on my own.

Also there's clearly a mystery with this new Donkey Kong game. The last trailer alone put out so many questions. Even if the answers turn out to be simple just let people play it and find out on their own!

I know Donkey Kong games aren’t known for having stories but I think it’s weird to be dismissive of people that don’t want to be spoiled. Bananza seems to be more story driven than usual and Odyssey had some surprises toward the end that you wouldn’t want ruined, so there’s reason to care.
