EA is laying off an unknown number of individuals from across its Battlefield teams, including workers at Criterion, Dice, Ripple Effect, and Motive Studios, IGN understands. https://bit.ly/4ujAKXV

After gathering up all their resources for Battlefield and successfully launching the game, why not re-distribute those resources to the other games EA is working on? Surely they have other launches for 2026? They didn't just hire people just to lay them off right? Surely money was spent on training

Executives proving once again they do not understand the industry at all, and that with the rate games are being pushed out just a little too early they need more time to cook. But we all know why they are firing people so soon after a release, is so they don't get any bonuses

Literally pointless to work on this industry. No matter how good you are, how good your game does, your job is almost always assuredly at jeopardy.

The thing is, it's not doing poorly in terms of sales for the most part. The problem is that there are absolute leeches at the top with unrealistic expectations of infinite exponential growth
